Struggling 14-year-old niece for her future

I called up the job agent which advertised the job looked OK. They said the job is still open so I made an appointment to register myself with them. Hope everything is going to be OK.
My brother dropped in at us to get the smorking pipe which I bought in Germany for him. He told us he quit his job a couple of days ago. As I told him I and my mum had prepared "otoshi-dama" (the money given from adults to children as a gift at the New Year) for his children he called them to come to our house. The niece, who is his oldest aged nearly 14, appeared later by herself just to tell us thank you. Our conversation came to about her future because she has to take an entrance exam for high school in 1 year and now is the time for her to think about her future. I really wanted to give her good advice and I tried. I was actually able to tell her what I feel now about my life looking back my past but she seemed to get some motivation to think seriously. I also told her I can teach her English. I hope I could help her more.
